I heard that you would run into the same issues as if this was done in a civic. The engine is too heavy in proportion to the body and supposedly sits "backwards" or something, thus, it will be good for straight-line performance. People generally say that the added weight and awkward position of the engine causes understeer, and that this is noticable and annoying. It is generally expensive too because of the differing motor mounts.

You will get more torque, but I would still say to stick with the B18C"X" series...there are seemingly unlimited bolt-ons and performance parts made for these motors, I think...they can be made plenty fast too...

Check with others, some of this may be wrong info because NONE of it is based on actual personal experience = word of mouth online...

Default Well....

If done correctly, the engine will not sit backwards. Take time to do a search. I remember ImportReview showing us a couple of civics at Atomic with h22as and they sat perfectly in the engine bay.

As far as handling goes....many people seem to say the handling is NOT that bad. You can always upgrade the suspesion. And isn't the H22a only 80 lbs heavier than a b18?
