I was just reading the Prelude Service manual and it has something called the Intake Control System, I no my motor never came with it so I never hooked it up and I never got a CEL, but what the hell is it? In the book it says "The intake control system decreases air noise", was this thing only on certain h22's?, it kinda looks like another thing like IABS there is another vacume box, and sensors.... any info would be great.

 

Dont worry about it. Probably describing the stock air box which is chambered to decrease intake noise.. Nothing major nor special..

 

it almost looks like a IAB for an intake, pretty weird..

 

i think you mean the IAC, its on the front middle of the intake mani

 

I think I know what your talking about, I saw apicture of it a while back. I believe it was a small trap door inside the intake box to reduce intake humming noise.

exactly what you said...it just has to do with the idle. idle wont be right with out it.
