H22/H23 Frank swap help!!!!!
Hey guys..... I recently dropped in my h22/h23 frank motor into my 93 civic coupe and I'm running into a few probs. Before I get started let me give you guys a rundown on the few bolt ons ive already installed:
-Skunk2 Pro Series Intake Manifold
-Skunk2 70mm Throttle Body
-XTD 10lb Flywheel
-XTD Stage 3 Clutch
-OBX Fuel Rail
-TRE 440cc Injectors
-Type S Pistons
-H23 Crank & H23 Rods
-MSD Blaster 2 Ignition Kit
-H23 Tranny
-p28 Chipped ecu with basemap
-H22a1 Vtec Head (stock)
-H23a1 Block
So far I'm having probs clearing the skunk2 intake manifold from the firewall. Ive already relocated the brake lines but with the addition of the iacv to the manifold it wnt work. I'm considering hammering the firewall or maybe cut off the small section where the iacv touched the firewall. What do you guys think? Also I'm not sure whether I should use the h23a1 non-vtec wiring harness which I have or whether I should get me a d16 vtec harness. I'm using high impedance injectors which states that the injector resistor box needs to be unplugged for use on h22 motors. Which do you guys think would be better the h23a1 harness or the d16 vtec harness? I'm aware that with the non vtec harness I'm supposed to run additional wires for vtec engagement. Any help would be greatly appreciated...... I'm a college student from the US Virgin Islands. I'm the one doing all mechanical and electrical work on the swap but everyone needs guidance sometimes. I'm also a bugdet racer so I often look for the cheapest way out.
