Default H22/H23

ok currently im running a 96 accord ex auto wit stock single cam wit a few bolt ons. my best run so far is a 14.9 @92 mph. im lookin into a swap. i was thinkin bought a h22a but i have friends that run hybrid motors in there hatches and crx ls/vtec and b20/vtec
they told me i could build a h23/vtec motor and push a 75 shot wit my auto tranny prolly be in mid 13s. my buddy priced it from the guy who builds his motors and the motor itself witout tranny and comp comes to @2900 that wit milled head and all basically full bolt in all wirin and distributor basically everythin i need. do yall think this is a good motor to build or should i just say straight h22a. i can get motor itseld without comp and tranny for @1600

thanks for help
