H22 EG Swap
i've been told that you need to reconstruct the fire wall to put a duece duece in an eg, is that true? Also are H22's usually around 1900 for a complete swap, i was thinking about geting this one:
http://www.naganojapanese.com/jdm_h22a.htm
Is it a full swap or will i need aditional parts?

the firewall should be fine. Some of the mounts that were out a few years ago rocked the engine too far back causing it to hit the brake lines....
You should be fine with any mounts you buy now.
Aside from that, use B sereis axles with the prelude inner joints (spider gear, rollers, cup and boot swapped to the B series axle) and disable the EGR. You'll be happy. Oh, and you'll have to mess with the header....

It's either hasport or hmotors (can't remember which) that sells H22 axles for an EG. You don't have to match anything.

you can use the P13. the ex ecu probably wont run the engine correctly.

Its an adapter plate that allows H22 engines to use a b-series trans($1k-1.3k). I believe it allows the motor to sit properly on the axels.

When you do the swap you will have to buy the hasport axles or 92 acura integra axles thats what fits with a 92 accord intermediate shaft also you will need a resistor box for your injectors and as far as exaust goes just get an H22 header and down pipe and driveit to the exaust shop open header and have them run straight exuast back. You will be beating GT's in no time also you might need to get a 92 accord fuel rail.

Also you might have to relocate you fuel pump to make room for the intake manifold. I would run a P28 with H22 basemaps so that you don't have to run an EGR and Knock. You can buy egr block off plates for like 20 dollars off ebay. Also make sure you get some kind of dual core radiator to help cool it. The radiator hose are also differant the civic are smaller than the prelude so you will need to get some kind of radiator for an H swap or you can cut a civic hose to go over the coupling and put the prelude hose on top of that.

Re: (turbociviccoupe)
my engine is installed already ,,it runs, it brakes but it shakes,to me and my fathers knowlegde the driver side axle is to long , thats why i want to ask u what axle to use ,,,i have 94 integra complete axle people say use 94 gsr inner and outer and a 87-89 integra shaft because its shorter what do u think?

Re: H22 EG Swap (nicko360)
has anyone ever dealt with this company before? it appears that they have custom mounts for the H22 into civic that require no fabrication. i think it's supposed to just drop in like a B or D series. http://www.jdmcustoms.com/cata...722bb

Re: (manuelcoste)
Your probably having problems with the axles binding up you have to use the 92 integra axles left and right with a 92 accord intermediate shaft. But don't launch hard because the way the motor fits in the car its puts it at a weird angle and if you launch and catch you will break axles.

first of all no one tried to get ahold of me
second of all my setup is completely different then just an h22 into a del sol. My setup is using the b series drive train so therefore i am using b series axles
thirdly, https://honda-tech.com/zerothread/650329
use that as your resource, it is the bible for h22 into eg/ek swaps
Hope that helps you out, good luck 1
