Actually, Jon is gonna test the yellow box speedo corrector. I wanna buy me this as well to test.

Had a H22 EG hatch.... sold it
Currently have a H22 EK hatch.... needs exhaust & a paint job
Working on a H22 EF... should be fun

In all honesty, the H22 is totally streetable (even more so than my old turbo B20 setup, which was still streetable but not as much, IMO, than the H22). I've taken my cars to the drag strip and road race course.... the H22 Civic setup holds up well on both tracks and performs well with the right suspension setup but is still totally driveable with a "stock" suspension setup - https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=183552

Heh... sorry for the late post but I've been on "vacation" for the past 5 days so I haven't really been on the boards lately

All depends on everyone's car and their setup (suspension also). On my EG hatch, I never had any binding problems and I was running 90-91 Integra axles on both sides, and the 90-93 Accord intermediate shaft. But then my car was also only lowered maybe 1.5" and I had a camber kit, which made my knuckles straight, putting less stress on the axle joints.

On my EK hatch, I have the same setup, but I'm using an 89 Integra driver side axle because I had some binding with the 90 Integra axle... same mid shaft. I think my suspension is tweaked on the car, but no problem because I'm going to be putting in an ITR 4-lug suspension setup (straight knuckles w/brand new Civic upper A arms) and using a camber kit, so I'll see what works with that setup.... just need to find time to throw it on

Basically, everyone's car is different so different setups will work on other cars. But there are some things that can be done to help out the axles - check out what I wrote up awhile back.... https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=434668

On a side note, how do you turn your idle up a bit? using the physical screw that holds the throttle body open a bit, or some other method? The book says do not touch that screw, it's preset at the factory blah blah, but then again, that motor was preset in a prelude....
Anyway, I have the 'dash vibrating off' shaking at a stoplight due to the low idle and urethane mounts. it's totally fine, but for comfort I'd like to turn my idle up to around 900-1K RPM. Just don't want to mess with that screw if it's gonna frig something up ya know?

So people w/ DSS Stage 1's haven't had ANY issues w/ the Hasport Kit? I'm sorry for beating this in. But I get one motor swap and I would really like to get one that works out.

My car right now idles so rough (she's runnin on 3 cylinders w/ the CX motor ) So I think I can handle a little shaking

it's the other way around, I rarely hear DSS problems with the HCp mounts.

Maybe if you dont know what your doing you could screw the reliability of the car up. Mines got 20k on it since swaping it, in just over a year. My daily driver

The only thing keeping me back from this swap is the axle issue.

Poision- I know you have a slammed car w/ the H22. You have the HASport Kit w/ dss stage 1's correct? How long have you had the swap with your car lowered this much? How many axles have you gone through? Is there ANY way I could get a few pictures of the axles from ya. My car is lowered 2.5"f and 2.25"r with H&R Race Springs. Will this be too much of a drop for the DSS Stage 1's to handle? I know I'm probably being really annoying with a billion questions, most of which are the same and asking in a different way

Thanks alot

Scott

Yep, HASport kit with DSS Stage 1's.

I actually have a butt load of new high quality pictures for my Digicam, but since I have formatted my computer, I can't find a friggin driver to upload the pictures.

Here is some of the older **** quality, though.

I will be sure to post them up for you when I get the driver.

EDIT - we-todd-did-racing.com is going EXTREMELY slow. I'll post 'em up tonight for you.

Not any driving or anything issue. The issue I've been having that I need to call Frank at DSS about is the passenger axle inner CV joint comes out about 1/4" of an inch every once in a while and is not fully 'clicked' in, making me leak tranny fluid sometimes.

Extremely annoying, but I've been procrastinating calling him.

No vibration, binding or anything of that nature though.

adjust the idle screw, burp the coolant system (making sure there is no air bubbles in the lines), clean IACV with carb cleaner.
