Well first of all. when i start the car and its cold it runs really bad like its only running on 1 cylinder. after it warms up it runs better. when i give it gas it feels rough then once it gets past 4k it pulls hard as hell...but dont seem as smooth as it used to be....then once it gets over 6k it starts running rough. i have a new Dizzy, new wires, new plugs, new cap and rotor, new ecu have tried other ppl ecu and things dont change.

sounds to me like the o2 sensor is shot. You wont get an CEl even if its shot. The timing is being pulled and thats why it runs like crap.

 

really think so man? i was thinking maybe the coil. b/c it was the only thing not replaced yet.

 

I have a d16y8 and it does the exactly the same thing, idle rough as hell like its on 1 or 2 cylinders until it warms up but even after it is warm it has no power until 4k and my vtech is set at 4800 it still has abot 130hp without vtec. help please realy annoying at the track.

 

well my vtec engaged properly but doesnt feel the same as it uses to tho.

 

yea my vtec is engaging perfect but it has no power until 4k and i hit 18psi at about 3200. i dont know its weird and kinda startin to **** me off. anyways sorry i couldnt help man.

 

i would have to agree prolly the o2 sensor. either that or u just need to use some motor flush on the engine. u might have bad compression in on of the cylinders causing it bog down. might not even be an engine prob might be in the tranny also. just do some trouble shooting
