H22 Civics, what clutch master cylinder did you use?? civic or prelude?
I'm asking because I'm still using the civic one (i think) and my car will not let go of the damn gear at high rpms (past 6800). Would this be because the civic clutch master cylinder rod is shorter than a prelude? Anyone else have this problem? I don't get any grinds whatsover, but I have to bang the gears because it feels like my tranny doesn't want to let go of them. Help a brotha out, thanks

Your clutch may need to be bled. Or try changing your tranny fluid. I don't think the clutch cylinder has anything to do with it.
If the adjustment & new fluid doesn't work I'd be blaming the clutch disk, perhaps it's not disengaging.

I've bled it before with no difference. The reason I say the clutch master cylinder may be wrong is because the rod that the clutch pushes in a prelude may be longer than the civic one

I think I am currently leaking fluid from the hardline into the housing on the tranny. Does anyone know what size the fittings are by chance. I might just upgrage it to a stainless steel line just to get it out of the way..

whatever it's called, I'm talking about the one attached to the clutch pedal. When I said I 've bled it before, I meant the clutch (the bled bolt attached to the tranny). Some other people say it may be my shifter cables binding, but why would happen to me and not other people?

Okay the only reason why you might have problems shifting is because you might have a leak in your line somewhere. I would check the fluid levels and see if it goes down at all. If not then bleed the clutch from the screw located on the slave cylinder in the front...
Make sure you have enough tranny fluid as well.
I used the prelude slave cylinder without any problems, just had to shave off a little of the bleeder screw to clear the slim fan properly..

Okay, i just bought new Prelude clutch master and slave cylinders on ebay for my H22 EG. They will both bolt up fine, correct? Or did I make a boo boo?
Sorry to bump this 4 year old thread, but it's better than creating a new one right?
