H22 in a 97 ej6,couple cels and bypass issue
Okay so here it is,I have a 97 civic coupe dx with a obd1 h22a.I have 4 cels that popped up and they are 41,23,54,65.Im running a obd2 p72 ecu for the moment until the funds come in to buy and chip a obd1.Cel 41 and 65 are the o2's which im currently fixing just plugging them back up,thats the easy fix.Now to the complex ones.Cel 54 is the one im currently stuck on,CKF sensor. Now ive read that only obd2 motors have that and so i would have to bypass that sensor to run it good.So i followed the steps on the write up but there is one problem, the write says to splice c1 and c4 together but i have no c1 wire. Its missing does anyone no were it leads to so i can trace and complete this???? Second is the knock sensor, how can i bypass it on a obd2??
last but not least is this its a canister with a tps/map look alike with a vacum line on the back, whats its purpose??

Re: H22 in a 97 ej6,couple cels and bypass issue
I used a P28 ecu that came with the H22A1 on my 97 DX. I didn't have to bypass anything, but I did use an OBD2 to OBD1 adapter harness. If you remove that canister (my son did) you will throw an EGR code but it runs fine and doesn't hurt anything.
