Default obd2b to obd1 and keep airbag?

hey guys, im planning on turboing my singlecam d16y8 in my 2000 coupe.

will switching to obd 1 affect the srs signal and my airbags? id like to keep the airbags in tact and having that srs light on would get on my nerves.

thanks!

AFAIK, the srs system is seperate from the engine's obd system on the car. so you'll be alright. I know more than a handful of people that have switched to obd1 and never tripped a light unless they did something else in the process. hth.
