How to test my engine light with a OBD1 ecu
the car is a 2000 honda civic si
My engine light came on today but now is off.
When the light comes on again i want to find out what is going on.
I have a obd2b-obd1 jumper hardness and a p06(convert to vtec and tune) obd1 ecu.
I know that the obd2 tester wont work and i few month ago i tried to jump the connector above the ecu(brown 2 wire connector used on obd1 hondas) but the light never blinked.
I have no idea how to pull a code.
ANY ideas.

I have high compression modify poor man r.
Any obd1 ecu will get the job done as long is chip/tune for your set up.
up for some input, I know this is a tough one.
