Default GSR and ITR Crank......difference??

I was told that the ITR ones are more balanced, is this true?? If so, what are the difference in the bottom end (block, rods) between the ITR and GSR? Thanks in advance!

They have the same rod stroke ratio but is counter weighted and balanced fromo what I've read. I have the ITR one and it's fine.

If i have the proper head work (valve springs, cams, retainers, etc), would it still be safe, using the GSR crank, to rev up to 9000 rpm without doing any work to the bottom end?

yes they are different..I have pics that show signifigant differences...

such as these:

ITR cranks have an emobossed 'R' on the actual crank itself and are wider on the counterweight fins.. when compared to the GSR crank..

personally I think you can....just as long as your valve train and powerband allow it.

Nice pics KAT!!

Also, the rod and crank bearing guides are different, GSR uses ABCD and ITR uses TUVWXYZ. Kinda a PITA when you use the GSR rods on the ITR crank but plastigage will get you within tolerance.

Good Luck,
