Default gsr in eg,try to rev=sputter


ok its a 95 gsr into a 93 eg hatch, EX harness, chipped ECU only code throwing is 41 heated o2 sensor.....edelbrock intake mani stock TB edelbrock fuel rail stock fpr, i just started the car it starts first crank, it revs between 1400-1500, when i open up the TB fast it just stalls like its not sucking in air then when i close it, it revs up....but if i open up the TB gradually it revs but sputters at the same time. i checked my vacuums sprayed brake leen on it ,revs didnt drop down, could it be code 41? any help please this is my first swap need to get car running, sucks catching the bus to work

Check your timing, spark plugs, spark plug wires. How old is the motor(year and miles). It might just be little maintenace stuff that was not taken care of if you have check all vacuum lines. Also, it could be the wiring of ECU or the ECU it self( like a bad chip). The first thing is to check the chip on the ECU(My opinion), wiring and then the rest of the stuff.

checked all of that motor has only 60k its a 94 could be the ecu im gonna try using my friends ecu see if that helps

Check the rotor button for corrosion. My friend had a similar problem and this fixed it.

fixed it but now its running fukin rich big black smoke when i rev it high

Tune that bitch ASAP! Most chips are generic and you will need to tune it. Otherwise look to replace your ringlands sooner than later.

Oh, what was the problem and what did you do to fix it?
