GSR crx, problems after OBD1 conv.
91 civic si hatch, jdm b18c, NEWMAN's conversion harness, p28 chipped by kenji.
The car was obd0 with gsr swap, I converted it to obd1 and now it wont rev past 2500. How do I check the CELs, and any suggestions if anyone has had this problem. In NEWMAN's instructions it says you need to use a toggle switch between the service connector wire and a ground, I did that and no CEL's.
Thanks to anyone who can help...

Re: GSR crx, problems after OBD1 conv. (P.M.Coupe)
::cough:: bad chip ::cough::..
i cant think of anything that could be messed up in the conversion harness that would put the ecu in limp mode.. and thats what it sounds like you're in.. that usually means bad chip..

Then the car wouldn't even start. On our harnesses, those two wires are already swapped so when you wire up the OBD-1 distributor, you just match up all of the wires to the same color, just like it says in the instructions provided with the harness.
Sounds like the ECU program or installation of the program, as those are the common symptoms found with what you described. BTW, for a ground, use a common ECU ground like D21 of D22 on the OBD-1 plug.

That's not true, it does start. But it does usually trigger the MIL, but not always.
I wasn't trying to say your harness was screwed up Newman, but sometimes customers do funny things.
