Default Green and White wire sensor ground ?

I know the GRN WHT wire is the sensor ground - can I just hook it up to a regular ground? Seems like my TPS does not want to work with this GRN WHT wire UNLESS I ground it to the chassis for some reason.

Will this cause problems if I grounded the GRN WHITE wire to the chassis?

@ the TPS
grn/wht is ground. it should ground to D22 (group of grn/wht wires)
same as the coolant temp sensor, O2 and IAT ground. (again all grn/wht)

just splice it into one of these wires, grounding to the chassis may cause grounding problems or odd readings at times.

Nevermind, I figured it out - the story goes - I bought the motor from jdmspeedlab on Ebay who is like a middleman for that POS Osaka Japan in Canada - (Oh yeah, look out for my review of this entire sale soon with pics) - The harness came cut in all different places so since I was low on cash I just "rebuilt" the entire harness with new wires and rewired all the sensors completely. Now let me tell you that although I went for a while to college for Electronics Engineering I ... this was still NO WALK IN THE PARK.
Well somehow I got the ground and signal wire for the IAT sensor mixed so it was throwing 3.1V on the GRN WHT sensor ground - to make a long story short, last night I spent over 6 HOURS fixing the glitches in the wiring and straightening it out. TPS started reading correctly and is in the 0.5V to 5V range now!

Started it up ... NO CHECK ENGINE LIGHT!!!
