got swap running but...
jdm 96 gsr w/lsd ---> 97 hatch. heres the problem, im unable to put in gear with engine running, everything seems fine off. ive switched slave cylinders (gsr), nothing ive bled and bled the system and nothing. could the clutch be that fried to not even allow me to engage into gear??im all out of ideas please help!

you look at your axle? they might not be in all the way. that won't let you go in gear happened to me on my jdm gsr swap.

can u put it in gear with the car off? if so what happens when u put it in gear, then turn the car on? if the car starts jumping with the clutch mashed in, i would say it has gone bye bye....

i just had a similar problem on my car, it would go into gear when the car was off but when i started it , couldn't put it in gear, THIS DIDNT HAPPEN EVERYTIME but more times than not; I replaced the slave and master cylinder in the clutch system, and the problem seems to be fixed

well im gonna put a clutch in this weekend, the whole problem is that i have no idea what the condition the trans is in...ive never had a swap do this. and ive never seen a clutch that bad, damn.

Have you tried to put it in gear with the car off, then start it while it's in gear while pushing in on the clutch? If it grabs like the clutch isn't pushed in then it's not disengaging. The problem is likely the throwout bearing being either off place or jacked up.
