I feel your pain. My friends put together a B16a2 and all the timing was off (cams, ignition, and firing order). Man, that was not cool. But hope that you get the timing squared a way.

i couldnt see from the above posts, did you double cheack to see if the cam gears are lined up tdc

if they are one notch ahead (adnvanced) it will have weanny power. if it reversed, it will most likely not start

dood i just finished another h22a swap for an accord...
what stopped the engine from starting was the distrubutor, i took it off my car and slapt it on it fired straight away...

also i notice that when i had the wrong firing order, when you crank it makes unpleasant noises heheh...

i got new sparks and after cranking it a few times, the plugs were saturated with fuel but they got black after a while, so there is spark... however the dizzy was the problem

Man that blows. It does sound like a distributer problem so hopefully you will have it fixed soon. Sounds like the Ignitor. Its not the coil most likely cause you were getting spark before (although it might be toast now). Good luck and if you have a multimeter handy check all the wires in the distributer going to the ICM and all the sensors. Also if the distributer has ever been tampered with, if the notched piece that goes into the cam has been taken off and put on the opposite way, then the car won't start. Good luck and I'm dying to hear word on that project 240 you've got going on.

Just because you pull a plug and see a spark, does not always mean that the ignition system is up to par. Its far easier to jump the gap in free air than it is in the combustion with a lot more pressure. The better thing to do is to get a spark tester, like a Thexton 404, which allows you to adjust the gap, so as to tax the ignition system harder.
