Geting my itr on friday need help!!
ok iam going to get a itr motor 98+ but the guy sold the damn tranny so iam geting the 96 spec tranny. He is selling the swap with that tranny for 4100. first question is that a good price?
#2 how will i be able to differ the 96 spec motor from the 98, just to make sure the guy isnt selling me the 96?
#3 what are the signs of a good motor? what should i look for when i go to buy this motor as far as exterior?
p.s thank you guys!

yeah, good price if thats a complete swap
2. for the head, look at the head (header area).. first circle should say 9/7 or newer
3. look for broken sensors, leaks (oil pump area, oil pan, etc) and serious rust. once the motor is in, do a compression test and leakdown test..

thanks alot, ya the guy told me that they dont steam the motors when they bring them in. They leave them in the same condition that they are brought in, so i will be able to see the way it is for real. also someone told me to check the spark plugs becase they say alot about the internals? is this true?
