Do you have an stock fuel pump? Have you changed your fuel filter?

I've seen a few cars that bogged really bad from an bad O2 or bad O2 wiring. When it happens you can give it gas and it will just sputter then all of a sudden it's like you turned the car off then a few seconds later started it up abruptly. I would make sure that your wiring is correct and then jump the ECU connector to see if the code is still stored.
