Default Adding a CKF to an OBD1 engine. Hurdles?

Already searched to no avail. What is the difficulty of adding a CKF to an OBD1 engine?

So far it appears I need a new oil pump. What else? Any machining required?

Thanks guys.

Well, you'll need to give more info about your engine setup....as to why you want to wire in a CKF sensor. Only US OBD2 B & D-series engines use this sensor -- is it safe to assume you're running an OBD2 engine in an OBD1 vehicle? if you are, just stick with using an OBD1 ecu and you won't have to worry about the CKF sensor at all. If not, spill some more info about your setup so others or myself can help you.

gratis..

I was looking at picking up an OBD1 gsr block. I need to keep my OBD2 b16a2 ecu to pass emissions. See the dilemma?
Any info?

Thanks.

aaaahh ok..well then yes, you'll have to slap an OBD2 US B-series oil pump on the OBD1 engine in order to comply......boo..

So all I would have to replace is the oil pump? That sounds easy enough. Then no machining/switching of pressed in parts is required.

Thanks for the help Katman.

That above and OBD2 Distributor. Dont bother asking the dealer for the ckf sensor. Will cost you an arm for that. $250+ just for the sensor. Better off buying from someone online. Oh...might need OBD2 vtec ecu too.

Thanks for the info guys. Seems like I could have been clearer about what I currently have. I already have an OBD2 engine (2000 b16a2), ecu, and everything associated it. I was looking at picking up a 95 gsr block to bolt to my b16a2 head and tranny. I planned on reusing the sensor I already have.

I have to keep the OBD2 ecu to pass emissions. That is why I was asking the question. Once again, thanks for all the input.

are you doing a poor man's type r or are you gonna build up the motor because if you build up the motor I would use a obd1 ecu much better for tuning
