Default FPR

1994 civic EX w/ jdm gsr swap.

list of mods
-intake
-4-2-1 headers
-test pipe
-custom b-pipe
-oval axle back
-stock jdm gsr ecu

i installed a FPR on my car and right now the gauge reads 42 psi. i have no cat on, but my car doesn't smell like **** anymore after i took the stock FPR out. before i put it on 42psi it was on 45-46 psi and for some reason it blew out GRAY smoke which i don't know wtf gray smoke means. any suggestions if i should go back to my stock FPR? I don't feel comfortable running this without getting as much information i could.
