Flex Pipe or Spring Bolts??
Which set up do you guys run on your B Series swapped Civics? My flange just broke off the end of my stock header (GSR). Right now im using a slip fit type deal to keep everything in line but plan on upgrading my header with some tax return. Should I buy a flex pipe or go get the spring and bolts from Acura? Looking some insight...TIA

Just go to a honda/acura dealer and get the spring bolt setup make sure the pipe is not stretched and you should be ok
Hell you could even if you have not already think about upgrading your motor mounts to control the engine flex

I hate the OEM "donut" gasket with the spring bolts. I think the best thing to do is get the "standard" 3 bolt flange in whatever diameter you are using, cut the OEM donut off the header and cat (or testpipe) weld the 3 bolt flange onto the header and test pipe-and cut some of the testpipe apart to incorporate a section of flext pipe. Much more secure. More labor yes, but its a better system. That is what I did--impossible to leak unless the pipe breaks or the bolts come undone.

do it the way honda intended and get a new lead gasket and new header. i dont even have spring bolts. i have two bolts and two nuts with some washers. but i also have a buddy club spec II which is all springs all the way down. so the whole exhaust has play in it.
