Re: Finally my swap is underway! B20 into '96 Civic CX (Zeus Zore)
just swap the tps sensor off the z6 throttle body to the b20 one.
just take a dremel grind some slots in the pins and un screw it.
then just swap em use some new screws and your set.

Re: Finally my swap is underway! B20 into '96 Civic CX (b16a ferio)
Cool..thanks for your help guys.
My plans: Next is most likely exhaust...JDM DC 4-1, 2.5" custom mandrel-bent tubing, 2.5" cat, magnaflow basic muffler with resonator. After that, probably a skunk2 intake manifold, type r throttle body, clutch/flywheel. THEN, if the money is there cams with the required fuel and valve upgrades...I'm thinking Crower 62404 or Crane Stage 5 cams.
Somewhere in between there I want to get a new coat of paint (same color), add a CTR or some simple lip, c/f hood and duckbill, type-r rear swaybar, and some new seats. On long trips the stock civic seats make my butt go to sleep..haha!
And you car is looking really nice, bzyrice! I'm not sure if my tranny will be very suitable for my car...but i may raise the redline if I decide to build the engine internals.

-Y21 LSD (b16a) tranny
-JDM 4-1 2.5" + oem 2.5 " cat
-JDM b20B (same as b20z)
-chipped P75 ecu (92-3 PR4, seems to be more aggressive when both stock ecus are compared.)

Re: Finally my swap is underway! B20 into '96 Civic CX (eg6ajk)
Nice set-up eg6ajk!
The b20 is quite a difference from the d16z6. Let's just say we didn't have much traction in the rain last night . The power is more than what I expected, that's for sure.
The only thing that worries me is a "whining" noise that occurs when you let off the gas. Might be the tranny...not really sure yet! I hope it's not bearings....it shouldn't be, the tranny has only 65000 kms on it. The throw-out bearing is new as well. The only thing not new was the pilot bearing, but even still the flywheel had low mileage on it.
*drives himself crazy thinking about it*

Re: Finally my swap is underway! B20 into '96 Civic CX (MagillaGorilla)
Pilot bearing? Yes it could be...I really have no clue...
Yes there is a huge difference between the b20/ITR tranny and the d16z6. My d16z6 was getting kinda old tho, so that may count for something. The b20 just responds as soon as yuo step on the gas...unlike the d16z6 which you had to rev to about 4 or 5 to really start moving.
I definitely recommend this swap if you want a fun street car. Highway driving isn't great tho hehe...

Re: (spoon_SiR)
Nice swap. Very cool that youre doing something different that people kinda freak out about. "Dude you dont want vtec?? Whats your problem?" I think its funny. Oh and as far as the whining noise it could be that your tranny is low on fluid(double check it and fill the shot out of it with MTF) also the timing belt could be to tight, but it prolly hasnt had a belt. Id say its something in the tranny. Have fun with that torque yo.
