OK, i got a 1993 civic cx hatchback, and i just got a JDM b16a2 swap today ( ) and i have a few questions...

1. Can i use My CX Motor mounts on the b16 motor? (i have the jdm rear bracket)
2. will my shift linkage from the CX work with this setup (ive searched and read that it does and doesnt work, so id like the truth)
3. the swap didnt come with any axles, but it did come with the part that connects into teh tranny, about 3'' long (sorry dont know what its called) and they said i could connect my CX axles to that for the time being, but ive never heard of that...

The motor mounts will fit.
You need an integra shift linkage. 94-97 USDM.
Have them send you the drive axles, you might as well install them now, Osaka has axles as parts to be sent.

Do you have a wiring harness?

Actually, i just got back from osaka and they didnt have any axles, i spent all my money on this swap and i cant afford axles me, so i just need some that work for a few weeks. Hmm you sure my linkage wont work? Yes i have my Cx wiring harness, and the harness on the motor is uncut.

does the engine have a main shaft? its about a foot long attached to the back of the block, and it goes into the transmission.
it looks like a mini axle.
because if thats there, you cant use that little thing they gave you. if thats not there, i would raise hell to get it...

i would wait and get real axles. its just better to do it right.

Ya,i got the main shaft, this really disapoints me that they lied to me and said my cx mounts will work, and that my cx axles wil work with the things they gave me. Thing is, i need this car on teh road by monday, but the dont have teh extra $ for the linkage/mounts/axles

the only thing that will fit you car that you already have are the mounts the only one that you will need to get will be the transmision side mount as to the shif linkage you will have to get 94-up integra or 99-00 si and you don't need a wiring harnest you just have to add a feww wires no big deal
the axel definatly will not work but if you have the mounts than you can remove the engine and put the b16 in and hopefully nothing else comes up

I could have sworn that JDM engines don't have ending numbers in their engine code....or are you saying its a B16A second gen??? Just wondering.

I thought that not having the number on the end only means that it is JDM on the B16a

well if it's a jdm motor than the number on the block only reads b16a and not b16a2

So in short, YES you do have an USspec engine.
