fan help

hey guys i have a 94 civic with a h22 in it..for some reason my fan turns on by itself and has killed my battery.my question is why the fan turned on by itself like the car has spirit inside of it ???this has never happened to me before but i did have the car at a shop about a month ago..could this be a short of some kind ???

sounds like you have some wiring problems to track down.
a few things to ponder as you track down the issue...
first off the radiator fan circuit should not have power at all times
second if the car is sitting it should not heat up and turn on the temp switch
third a normal battery will power the radiator fan for quite a while. (20 minutes or more)
are you sure it's the radiator fan that's causing the battery to die?
