I'm in to see what this baby can push out. I fell in love with these f series and now the possibilities are endless for these blocks. I'm gona guess that hp will be 194 and torque 205 just a guess but i wanna see.

Re: f23 long block, k20 pistons,delta 272 grind
sorry guys no graph today. we decided to do a compression test and i got 220,295,295,270. did a leak down on 1 and 4 and you could feel air coming out the throttle body. i pulled the head, removed intake valves. it took some time getting new valves so i wasnt able to get it back on the dyno but i will first thing in the morning. my iacv is acting up. could it be because i removed the butterflies. oh and my hood closes

Well i was skeptical when we took this project on......Everything looked good on paper and i got interested and funed the whole project!
Well Motor is 100% oem parts. The cam started out oem had delta regrind 272 and reved it to 7200rpm. E85 dsm injectors.
On MUSTANG dyno it made 191whp/163tq...........Must say I'm impressed!
My h23v h2b Made 160/160 on same dyno! WTF? :/

Nice i thought it was gonna be more torque than hp since it has a 97mm stroke but i was close enough to the hp rating i guessed 194 and it put out 191. That's nice man keep it up im doing a build that i'm gonna post up soon F22a1 dohc vtec custom high compression build using f20b pistons and the f20b head. Want to see where this build takes me. Good luck though.

I'm probably gonna be in the same range in torque and power my build is going to be in progress after the holidays. I had my f20b pistons on the f22b1 rods put by my local machine shop so that's why i can't start my build until after. Can't wait lol.

Wow so my hp guess was spot on 194 man i'm good now try the h22 head you'll be amazed maybe more torque can come out of it. Maybe not but i still like the setup.

Re: f23 long block, k20 pistons,delta 272 grind
to be honest the h22 head will lower my compression quite a bit. i may loose power and tq with just that mod alone. you should consider trying a f22a6 head on that f22a block. also i was wondering are you using the f22a 95mm crank/rods with f20b pistons? that combo sticks out the block .020. will you be using a larger head gasket for quench area or will you use custom rods? i have those parts laying around the shop. i may copy your build if it make good power lol

EDIT.......... motor dynoed 194 whp and 163 tq on a MUSTANG DYNO!!
f23 block,crank,rods,
f22a6 head (pulled from junkyard with stock crusty valves.)
272 grind on ebay cam gear.
k20 type s pistons.
h23 intake (i think. lol)

I'm using the oem f22b1 head gasket which at crush is at .026 and it will stick out of the block at .020 with the f22a1 rods and crank. The f20b head is perfect because the chambers bore is 85mm just like the f22 block i'm using. That's the best part about that f20b head no detonation.

^^^^Did i forget to mention a good tune too cause that's what messes cars up. That's another reason oh and too much ignition timing will cause detonation.

Honestly at that point you'd be having so much power and torque in that integra you would be spinning on street tires from 1st thru 4th like nothing. I'm in to see what you pull out of that single jingle f23 that should have ppl stunned when you pop the hood and they see a sinlge having that much power.

there's definitely power locked away in the head, but are you willing spend time contouring and reshaping the ports on the intake and exhaust sides of the head. You can use a k20a2 head for a template since the valve angles are similar i believe also a k20a2 intake manifold gasket might just about match up perfectly when it comes to the individual mouths of the intake ports. majority of the port work will definitely be in the throat of the port and the turns. By the way if your looking for a nice cam hit up sheepy he works for webcams where bisi gets his cams. lol
