So alot of the info is pretty easy to find but i couldn't find any real clear on a couple things.

1. What do i do about the fuel line being on the right side of the motor? I found this write up on braided lines but i just wanted to know what everyone else did.
https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=1452210

2. I don't know if any one has done this but if you remove the (17120-PT2-000= BODY, BYPASS VALVE ) the baffle plate in the middle of the IM would you still have hood clearence issues?
I had a b18c/b20 with the plate already removed when i got the motor b4. i haven't measured the plate buts its preaty thick.

Are all the mounts on the F the exact same as the H? Even the trans mount?

Does an H trans fit on an F?

Any F tranny info anyone?

I know for a fact a f20b trans and a h22 block will bolt together and vice versa. I know that a f22 tranny will bolt on a h22 also. Thats all I know for sure but im sure they are the same

TTT

Anyone know if their is a OEM USDM head gasket that would work on the f20b ?
The oem pcb head gasket is really hard to find.

The only thing I found is to call cometic to make a 85.5 bore h22 head gasket ...

Any tip ??

how much is cometic charging you for the head gasket? The PCB head set i purchased cost me 240.00 shipped from ebay seller bernard28 who resides in singapore and i got it 1 day after i ordered it from fedex. i didnt want to just purchase the head gasket as it wouldve taken 4 weeks for him to special order it and then he would have to ship it. plus i got all the seals too so yeah anyone can say oh it costed alot but hey when i bought this motor i knew going in that parts were going to be expensive. he also has the ability to special order all of the parts for the motor. Rings, valves (uses 30mm H22 exhaust valves BTW, intake valves were 34mm) crank and so forth this is from me just communicating with him for a while. if you need any help locating parts let me know

Check out the email I just got ...

We technically could make the H22 with the bore you specified but we have
already looked at this and the way our gaskets are made the H22 gasket will
not work on an F20B setup.

Cometic Gasket

I don't understand why it would'not work ... anyone can explain this ?

And I just found bernard_28 from singapor on ebay, he sell alot of stuff.
I will contact him tonight

yeah the only way they can make an f20b gasket is if they had one in their hands. so unless you send them one no dice. bernard is a good *** guy he has alot of the interchangable f20b/h22 parts in stock. anything pertaining to internals or sensors he can get but as in America be ready for the price and more wait time. just let me know

autodynamics is run by the same guy bernard28 from ebay. so if you spoke to him on ebay, its the same as if contacted autodynamics. he's based out of singapore. whenever i needed parts this was who i dealt with

and thats the exact same head set i ordered from him as well. that ebay seller name is their ebay store account. it costed 240 shipped when i bought it and it likely won't change. thats what i posted before. but i asked untengijutsu if all he needed was the gasket alone. i tried finding the email in which bernard28/autodynamics told me the price of the gasket alone. it was up there, so i just decided to purchase the set so i would have all the gaskets i needed

I have some other questions.

The F20B came with electronic power steering I think.
In every picture I saw, the F20B seem to have the hole to bolt a H22 power steering pump bracket.

I know that the F20B crank pulley is single slot so it needs to be changed.

So, can you put a H22 crank pulley/power steering bracket/power steering pump and hoses to a F20B to have mechanical power steering in a del Sol?

Hope that the holes to bolt the power steering bracket are threaded on the F20B.
Any idea about it ?

Also,
I see that some people have trouble running chipped p28 with their F20B.

Which ECU people run with their F20B ?
Chipped obd1 ECU ?
Which basemap do you use before tuning ?
Does you IAB are functional ?

I want to keep the IAB and I was thinking about a chipped obd1 GSR ECU.
What do you think about it ?

the threaded holes are there for the H22 power steering bracket and it will bolt in there. if you took a casual glance at the H22 and F20b longblocks, they look virtually the same. As soon as you pop off that head, all their differences come to light. the only outer differences that come to mind is there isnt an oil cooler on the F20B motor as well as an entirely different idle motor, no VTEC pressure switch, etc.

As for the ecu, you could run the GSR ecu if you want to retain working IAB, but im not sure as i havent seen anyone run those two together yet. have it tuned with crome or neptune for the best results. look into changing out the 3 wire IAC too

Could I use my F22B1 tranny with the F20B?
And what ECU would I need?
And are F20B's OBDII or would it just be better to go OBDI?
