yes its not just an H2B hood. There will be additional clearance on the very front for K-series manifolds. Also hopefully will help clear some top mount manifold setups and other things.

It can also just be used for the look of having a raised hood. Its subtle so its not just for the guys that need clearance.

Well I'm interested in it for the itb's to breathe on my bseries.

I'm kinda sick of the 1" spacers on my hinges to try and accomplish the same thing.

AND I raped the bracing all along the underside of my hood with a cutoff wheel in order to clear my valve cover. :/

I'm not exactly sure what "H2B" is. Anyone care to explain.

I'd be down for a deposit, if I can get some sort of affirmation that this hood is made in light of clearing a K24 in a CRX (that's the gist I'm getting, just confirming here)

Thanks guys

It is when you put a real motor, Hseries, on a Bseries transmission via adapter plate

Thanks for the clarification. A "real" motor, eh? LOL.

To each, his own.

Well you get displacemnt, tuning options for less than $1k, and a much better tranny. Plus it's not in a prelude, which is half the battle when working on an h-series.

I'm sure if you make these as a JDM-ish hood, then also make it so EG rads fit w/o a major ganster lean, I'm sure it would sell more than half a dozen copies. So with it also dealing with k-series, you'd have quite a few people who might be interested. If another inept driver hadn't ended my EF's life early, I was ready to plunk down the $1k for a jdm frontend (4dr) just for that JDM hump.

Wondering if theres any further interest being put into this by Exospeed? I fully understand that you guys don't want to jump the gun, make 50 of them and then only 3 people buy one right away. But I think a good question for the company to evaluate is how long are you willing to wait to gain a profit? Because I am sure that they will sell, its only a matter of time. I say I'm sure because of all the great uses that these EF guys have for an extra clearance hood: H2B, K24, J-Swaps, no-gangsta-lean radiator, extra B-Series topmount turbo clearance, K20 ITB clearance, Supercharged K20, better B-Series ITB cooling (if you leave the option for an open back), simply for the look, etc. I feel that if you guys do a quick production run of 10-20 of them, half CF/half Fiber ones, people will definitly start buying them once they are an actual part instead of a deposit for a concept and Exo can guage from there whether it is a profitable/worthwhile decision for a second run. I think it would also be a good idea to start making/selling them ASAP if you indeed decide to, because right now there is no other mass produced, well fitting, good looking option for any of the EF guys in the above listed scenarios at a decent price if at all (99% sure no one else makes them).

Just talked to Wil for a little bit today and they are very busy helping other racers right now. However, the EF hood is NOT forgotten and they are trying to finish it up as soon as they can. They will update when it is done. On another note, I finally ordered my h2b kit from Wil today. Thanks Exospeed

I'll be watching this thread.

When the time comes and Exospeed needs a down payment, I'll throw it in. Otherwise, I'm continuing on with my project fully expecting to make my own custom hood.

Pessimism never lets you down.

I've been interested for a while now! Wil seems like a cool guy too and they have some nice products out, but of late, I haven't gotten any response from him after I paid for a product. I hope he is busy making the hoods for us

It's probably on the back burner and forgotten. Last I heard, they were "making a mold" to test fit. They had hiccups in business since then, so I think they are sorting more important things out.

We're in the process of getting the skeleton for the hood sorted out and then a prototype will be made. We'll keep everyone posted... Thanks for the patience!

If you're referring to K-Series ITB's then that will not be possible. We are making the hoods to fit a the manifold for both K-series and H2B.
