I am about to switch to a GSR head, however I am not familiar with these two items...(taken from hondaswap.com)

Evap Purge Power Yellow/Black 12V Power
Evap Purge Solenoid Red A20

What is what here, can you give some help, what it looks like, where it is found?

umm.. correct me if im wrong guys, but its a small black canister under the battery to the right. up next to the firewall.

that is the canister. the solenoid is on the drivers side (most of the time) mounted on the intake. Most Honda have them (from what I have seen), so you should have the plug on the harness. If not, your info you have will make it easy to hook up. Are you putting it on a 2nd gen teg?

 

Nah...I have an EG...92 cx with b18b, however I am unsure if my car is equipped, and want to know where to look for it and all...thanks.

ALL EG has them, to my knowledge. I just did a swap on a 92 CX, it does have one.

GOD, if I only had a digtial camera

 

It is small black piece that has a two wire connection and has two vacuums going to it (one from the IM and the other from the canister) the canister should be right under the fuel filter (long black canister).

So my question is, do I jsut ignore that and run the wires for the other 4 sensors, or do Ihave to change the pin locations on that sensor as well?

 

So...do I change the wiring around or just leave it be.(bump).

 

 

plug it in and see what happens. if it does not work. wire it up.

if your state isn't california or not strict on emissions I wouldn't worry too much about the evap purge solnoid. if you're living in a tough emissions state like california then I highly recommend you wire it up. there's a diagram of the evap purge solnoid in the helms manual. if you don't have it http://www.helminc.com

 

where is that located on an OBD2 motor...i've seen it on OBD1 ...its pretty small.....black ....on an obd2 LS...its it mounted right on top of the manifold??
