engine wiring help
im going to swap my GSR (OBD 2), for an OBD 1 LS B18 (just untill i can build my GSR motor, which has a cracked sleeve.. whould it be easier to get a new harness made for the LS motor, with an OBD 1 ecu. OR keep the GSR harness and leave some plugs unpluged. Im comfortable with the swap, but i hate wiring and im not very good at it. also you have the engine harness which plugs into all the plugs on the engine and runs untill the firewall, and theres a clip there to disconect the dash/firewall harness. will the GSR(OBD2) and the ls harness(OBD2) connect at this point? also to get the GSR dash harness to plug into the ecu i will need a OBD2-OBD1 harness right? these questions are the only ones holding me back from my swap when i get home. also with this harness will i throw any codes?

if you use the obd2 LS or GSR engine harness you can use the OBD2 LS ecu perfectly. but if you use the obd2 gsr ecu it will throw some codes but it would function just to get by.
