Engine teardown procedure

I am changing piston and rods so when disassembling the engine do i turn the crank to tdc?I looked for a sticky on this but cant find any threads on the process of dissambling a gsr motor?Can anyone help me out.Yes, i am new to this.

just put it at tdc when your ready to put the timing belt on
