I'm in MD and i'm doing a GSR swap possibly within couple weeks...
Could anyone tell me whats the rate for motor swaps nowadays....

_______
I was quoted around $1000-$1200 for a JDM B16A swap from a local shop in northern Ohio.
I was also quoted about $600-$800 for a B17A to B17A swap. This is all for a 92-93 integra GSR. I ended up doing the swap myself.

I have looked around myself this is what I found
APG in albany ny $1500
RPM in NYC $1300
DRT in NYC $1400
letme know what you guys find here on the east coast (prefer northeast)

You can easily do it your self if you have a place to work. That, of course, is the problem. I was quoted everywhere from $1,000 to $1,600 to do the work two years ago.. Needless to say i said screw that and did it my self in my parents garage in McLean. (i have a townhouse in DC so i couldn't do it there) Before 9/11 you used to be able to rent work bays down at Ft. Meyer but they closed the base to non-military after the attack.
Anyone have a garage to work in somewhare in the Washington area? I'm sure we could get together and have a "swap day party"

seeing as though u have a ls, it'll probably be easier, where are u getting the engine from?....is it complete?......i'm sure that my mechanic wouldn't mind doing it for a little less than 900 w/ that set up.....sum of that labor charge is gonna go into the shop it'll be worked at....give me a call.....or email me

k2engines.com does swaps, and sells them. They are in Baltimore. Haven't had any experience with them, but they wanted 500$ to install a b16a into my CRX if I bought it from them. Just shop around and do some web searches. If all else fails just rent an air compressor and air tools and go for it.
I am from Louisville KY. The local shops around here charge between $500 and $800. I am looking into either a B16a2 or B18B In my 95 DX. It will run me near $600 And i'll have my car the next day.
