Engine Swap Questions
Hey guys, I am currently in the middle of my first swap and i am swapping in a b18a block with a b18b head into a 92 hatch. There is a huge hole on the left-ish middle side going into the back of the block on the b-series that the d-series doesn't have. What the hell is that hole? It is tapped for a bolt like object to go in, but I am not sure what goes there. Could it be an oild pressure guage sending unit? If it is, is it necessary to run without one? I noticed that there are 2 more water fittings that the B has but the D doesnt have. Could this correspond to the hole? And I am also missing a driver side motor mount. Do I use an OBD0 or OBD1 LS motor mount?

Any knowledge, tips, etc. for getting this engine in would be most appreciated!!
Thanks again guys!!
John

the big one on the back is the fan switch. On 94+ integras and civics, its on the thermostat housing, so you'll have to relocate it over there. You'll need the b18a sensor to stick in there or the plug from the 94+ b18b. The other two small watter fittings go to the IAC valve and FITV. You don't need to hook up the coolant lines to the IACvalve cuz it doesn't really do anything.
