trix are for kids

i have a 94 del sol si, and want to swap out the d16. i would love to go h22 or b20, but my dad wont let me! im only 16, and if i want to swap, i probably have to move out first. but im not gonna wait till im 18 to start fixing up the sol. how can i persuade my dad to let me do it? its not like im asking for money cuz i paid for the car myself. my friend jus recently swaped a b20 in his EK and i showed my dad, but still no go. the engine is still really good with 74k and the previous owner was non-racer. if i dont/cant swap, ill prolly jus turbo and squeeze. is there anything i can do? how can i change his mind? thanx a lot

Dads are easy...just tell him that when you have kids, he won't have to babysit them more than one weekend a month if he agrees to the swap.

The difficult situation arises when you need to tell your wife of 20 years that spending money on an engine swap is more important than replacing the old kitchen cabinets that were in the house when you bought it 16 years ago.

Is your dad in to cars cause if he is just tell him it will make a nice father son project you know some father/son bonding time and lay it on thick.
