engine stands / LS/VTEC
Im starting an LS/VTEC project and I need an engine stand so I called Summit. Well they only carry stands that are compatable with domestics. Then I called Harbor Freight and the woman on the phone had no idea what im talking about. So I just wanted to know:
where you got yours
how much you payed
part # or exact name
If you live in socal and you have an old one lurking around your garage throw me a PM, maybe we can strike a deal. Also any advise on starting the LS/VTEC is appreciated because im jumping into this with both feet. Thanks in advance.

Re: engine stands / LS/VTEC (95redcivicex)
I got mine from harbor freight. I think it was $40. It will hold your ls/vtec no problem. It is the one with four wheels (orange). The red one is for domestics. It will hold alot more weight. As far as advice I would say to get it honed and ready for your pistons. Get all the parts your going to need (both main seals, bearings, thrust washer, ring compressor tool, assy. lube, pistons on the rods, All other seals/gaskets). Good luck with the buildup.
*EDIT* Also get a good torque wrench 10-150 ft. lbs would be nice.
