OBD2 to OBD1 Did search...HELP
I need to convert my OBD2 LS to an OBD1 for my EG and need to know how to do this. If I able to make the harness myself I will. If not, where can I get a harness to do the conversion????

Re: OBD2 to OBD1 Did search...HELP (TURBOED-TEG)
I am going though the same problem.... Here is what I have found out.
There are a few ways you can do it.
1: replace the distributor, injectors, with OBD1 units and your harness will plug in. Also need to use an OBD1 ECU
2: cut the plugs off of the OBD2 harness and use them to replace the plugs on your obd1 harness and everything will plug in Also have to use an obd1 ecu
3: Get a 96-98 GSR or 98 ITR harness, this harness has an OBD1 plug that goes into the car and the rest of the plugs on it are OBD2 so it will plug into you motor. This to will need an OBD1 ECU
Hope this helps!
This is for converting the engine to OBD1

Re: OBD2 to OBD1 Did search...HELP (g's hybrid)
Cool, I am going to need one. How much? How hard is it to make one myself. What all is involved and is there a site that discusses how-to do it?

Re: OBD2 to OBD1 Did search...HELP (TURBOED-TEG)
how you going to run your engine OBD1 w/out an obd1 ecu???????
you want to put your 96+ ls engine in a 5g civic right?
you use the ecu and wiring harness that came with the civic (OBD1)
if you want the ls to run off obd1 it has to have an obd1 ecu
in the end the ecu determines obd0 1 or 2

Re: OBD2 to OBD1 Did search...HELP (BrianP)
I think what I might do is buy a P74 or P75 OBD1 ecu, this should then allow it to be plug and play I think...

Re: OBD2 to OBD1 Did search...HELP (BrianP)
Actually I have a Coupe...and the ecu that came with it is the P08! I have a D15 DX 95 coupe. I think I can probably make it work but I am not sure so I thought it might be easier to just use an OBD1 B18b ecu
Thoughts on that?
