engine runing out of time
what are the symtom of a engine that is out of time would it still run if it was out of time , what make an engine go out of time .

if you are talking about valve timing, it would run like total **** and probably couldn't rev above 2000rpm or so, and thats if you're only off by a tooth. if you're timing is significantly off, your pistons may hit your valves and bend them, depending on your engine. if you run a high compression engine (any dohc vtec motor), your pistons could 'interfere' with your valves in a disasterous way. most common cause is an improperly installed timing belt.

well see the proble is that I was reving the engine and the I keep it to around 4000 to 3000 RPM and then it shut off for some reason so I then I try it to crank it and there is no compression I mean then engine sound diferent when I'am trying to start it I could heard the starter , now is not runing for some ******* reason so I 'am thinking it could be the timing or something , btw my engine is a b18c1 with p73(type R) pistons and rings usdm
