different engines in the lude!
Hi fellas and sheilas!
Skinny from downunder here,
Ok don't laugh, but has anybody considered another engine transplant other than the good old H22?
Something like the v6 out of a Legend, or how about a NSX motor?
Everyones got a H22 or turboed whateva, just thought someone might have tried it.
Dont flame me cos I'm from Australia either lol

Re: different engines in the lude! (skinnyboy)
Well I heard something about one of my friends friend swapped a V6 motor into it and something about being slower than the H22. I really don't quite remember cause it was awhile back when he told me this.

i sense lockage coming soon...
the k-series engine is the only one worthwhile to throw in the lude, all the others require too much fabrication and junk.
now we wait for motor mounts

Re: (connvict)
Putting a bigger engine (V6) up front really screws up the weight distribution...the car will handle like ***. That's why an H22 swap for a Civic or Integra is generally a mistake.

you guys have it so lucky in onld Yankland, a turboed honda here is a bit of a rarity, its getting better though, but you lot seem to turbo your lawnmowers so we have some catching up to do!!!
Thanks for the replies, the info will be passed on to my engine supplier!!!

DC5 Type R is hard as all hell to find. in the even that you do find one, it will cost you at least 5 grand, thats a base price. not including shipping or anything.

im all for the
f22b2 with h22 head. see sig
anything else is gonna cost some major cash. and throwing a larger than 4 cylinder engine in the lude will make it SOO nose heavy, not like it isn't already.
will be interesting when the next wicked rich person puts a k24 in their lude. benice to see what 99mm stroke can do for the fat *** lude

The H22 produces more torque than a K20. There is always the K24 found in the TSX.

Depends on who you ask. For straigh line performance (and most stoplight races), it's definitely an advantage. Handling can be fixed with slightly stiffer spring rate and suspension work. But that extra torque makes a difference when you get that holeshot coming out of the corner.
