Icon3 Emmisions Help

I have an Itr swap in my 98 ek n of course gotta go through wonderful emmisions here in Md and im on a p30 with basemap and im wondering if i plug an obd2 p72 in would that car pass with that ecu if not throwing any codes?

If your swap is USDM, a P73-A03 ECU (from a 1998 USDM ITR) is what you need for emissions. A P72 from a GSR will work but, there may be extra sensors on a GSR engine that an ITR engine does not have, this will give you a CEL.

If your swap is JDM, you need a USDM VTEC solenoid, CKF sensor (located on the oil pump), and you need the EVAP purge solenoid hooked up.

Also, you can do the CKF bypass trick (google it) instead of swapping in a oil pump with a CKF sensor.

Thanks for that info i appreciate it that's good to know for sure about the jdm motor ill look into this i just git a 4month extension on emissions
