eg h22 ...h22 vs f22 tranny
I am considering doing a h22 swap in my hatch rather that turboing the d16. I have searched but I couldnt find anything that related to an EG. What would the differece in the 1/4 mile be with the different trannies? Would the top speeds be like with a 92 Si h22 with i/h/e? Thanks

your not going to like the performance of the f22 tranny the gears are longer and you will not notice any performance gains for it. imo

Well I did a h22 swap into my accord and had the f22 transmission in that and it still has pretty good acceleration and top end. I actually like how the f22 tranny feels on the h22. But, I am not sure now that it is going into a civic whether I want f22 with a higher top speed and better gas mileage or h22 tranny with better acceleration. What will the 1/4 mile and top speed be with each one?

I couldn't tell you exact time differences. I had swapped a f22 tranny in my 5th when i had it and it was nice on the freeway, but i could tell a difference in acceleration.

I know that acceleration will be noticed. i dont what tranny I had. i supposebly boughta h23 tranny. Man I dont know I redline 7800 at 80 mph, And third gear went to 125 mph mark and wasnt even close to hitting my redline. But after I switched to a h22 tranny, Man I have to shift through all the gears to stay below 3000 rpm. And the acceleration is alot quicker now with the right tranny
