Re: interlude EG6 H22A7 turbo AWD
I damaged a finger on a B20 frankeinstein Vtec.
I wanted to bring the engine alone (while trying to put in the trunk of my SUV) and the flywheel turned.
I stuck a finger between the flywheel and the block.
I will no longer work at the moment
Here, wait for the presentation of an old project I made last year: the prelude type R

kinda looks like my friends finger when he had his finger in a flywheel inspection hole and my other friends tried to start the car....friend almost lost his finger. wish you a speedy recovery!

Re: interlude EG6 H22A7 turbo AWD
I am doing a 4wd swap as well. I finally got around to cutting my trailing arm but I have not welded it yet. I noticed when I put the rear wagovan section on the car that the geometry with the LCA is quite a bit different. Seems that on a FWD arm the spindle/hub is right in line with the LCA and the strut. With the wagovan the hub is forward of the strut (which makes sense cuz where else would the axle go?) Anyway I am wondering, won't that put the wheel quite a bit forward in the wheel well? I know many people have done this swap and I haven't found any mention of this, perhaps it's not that big of a deal?

Re: interlude EG6 H22A7 turbo AWD
yes. that's why I shifted the bowl of rear shock absorber (first pics) and I declined the eye to take the arm to precisely measure the axle works right.
I want a lot of power and I prefer all is right and with silent-blocs for don't break the trans.

Re: EG AWSD (H22 turbo 4WD and 4WS)
I welded a female slot on the rear main arm for receiving the steering rod end of the 4WS box.
normally, there is something here for bolting the small arm used to adjust the opening of the rear wheels.

Re: EG AWSD (H22 turbo 4WD and 4WS)
after i have made a thread for put rear disc on the honda CR-V (here: https://honda-tech.com/forums/showth...6#post39175566 ), and
at the request of some , I'm doing a thread on my civic project, ultimate evolution.
usually I'm shy and reserved but I want to talk about my current projects, even if my English does not allow me to answer your questions precisely.
my hotrod (before 1948) being too physical to realize now,
"top-chop" week-end with my friend, the man without head:
roll-pan
before:
during:
after:
a new version:
the car under the body is a citroen XM V6, i will put a honda legend later.
stopped here for the moment, go to the civic.
I am now myself slowly but surely a modern hot rod today. hot rod because it corresponds with the definition of the time, modern, well, because, as with recent pieces ...
this is my honda that I have over ten years and with whom I got to the polar circle (with a hook at the ESRA 2003 (european street rod association) in Denmark, at the time)
shine is fine but primer is finer, a pic of my civic:
the old engine was a darton MID B18C (sold): 720whp with water/alcohol injection
Following the floods that I suffered this winter, the car has destroyed ...
In the spring, when I started to get the lawn in place of the carpet that I was drunk.
the car must be totally rebuilded then improvements (bigger is better...)
for trains, I had those in this car:
I take the engine of this car:
Honda Accord Type R sold in France to 129 copies.
the engine:
version of the model R 212cv fact, the engine is prepared by hand at the factory (you can see the shots Dremel conduits in cylinder head, behind the valve.)
this engine is optimized for use air and I'm going to go turbo, I hesitate even to the fact of the rechemiser, I can not know whether the particular coating honda (FRM liner), different from nickasil can support the pressures of a turbo preparation.
this engine block is like a H22A4.
this engine interest me because it is very rare and that there are very few adaptables parts for it, which reinforces the interest that I do own my own.
share my experience with the civic 720cv on the front wheels drive, I know there are big problems motricity despite the fact that I set up an anti-skid electronics ( AEM EMS ).
I will switch to 4 wheel drive through the transmission of the vehicle:
First, I made room at the bottom of the garage and give parts to my friends!
and start:phantom grip in the diff and diff in the gearbox:
home made intake manifold with my old edelbrock victor X with two fuel rails.
H2B:
head-ported:
an idea of the tires:
tein monotube flex:
I think next summer I will test on the 1/4 mile.
if I'm in the 12s, I am a little disappointed (but not too much as it would be my first experience in drag racing.)
if I'm in the 11s, we say that it is normal,
if I'm in the 10s, I will be happy,
if I'm in the 9s ........ no, it's a joke! : lol:
but hey, I also want to do something that have a good drivability, the 1/4 mile, it's just a leg into the goal being to have fun on circuit.
at this time, I make rear arms and rear transmission. it is hard but interesting.
template:
symétrical?
rear disc are better rear drums:
and finally:
the engine:
i make this car occasionally (this job is the job of the last 6 months) but specifically, for me, the ultimate power is meaningless because it can vary from one set-up to another depending on the pressure.
and I want know what pressure sleeves can bear with or without block-guard.
who already has experience with this?
thank you.
