Which ECU do YOU use for your LSVT ?
OK, I know I musta turned some graves or somethin'
I have found whenever you mention LSVT, everyone shuts up !!! Why ? Well, at least the stupid ones don't talk... heh hehe heh...
Well anyways...
What ECU are you all running on your LSVT setups... and what head/block combo ?
Opinions and ratings welcome !

You win the prize for

and hondata is the best way to do it if you can.

Most people run a chipped p28..I did with a mugen program with custom 8k rev.
BUt eg6ajk has a Vision chip that you can get and that is supposed to rock for all lsvtec and crvtec setups...ill let you know how that one works when my friend gets his lsvtec up and running.

Re: Which ECU do YOU use for your LSVT ? (SLPR)
w/ my frank motor i'm running a chipped p28 w/ the skunk2 program and on the dyno at 5200-5800 my torque curve shoots down big time, then at 6000rpms it shot back straight up, you can totally feel it, the tuner told me to get a different ecu. When i had a b16a i switched from a obd1 pr3 to this p28 and it was a night and day difference....a good difference not bad.

Yeah, I intend to go with an engine management in the future... maybe Hondata due to ease of install and price... but that will be when I am back with the turbo But in the mean time, I just need a chip that runs the car well, all motor. The GSR ecu sucks ***... I need to switch to either a B16 ecu or a chipped p28 like everyone else... then I would need a conversion harness... damn...
Money, money, money, ain't it funny....
PS, to the guy with the Clutchmasters post: OOoooooK !

Re: Which ECU do YOU use for your LSVT ? (slowasshatch)
I am/was running a chipped P28 with Skunk2/mugen program. 5200 VTEC and 9000 redline.
I dyno baselined at 175hp 132tq untuned. I have just the basic lsvtec stuff, us type r pistons, gsr head, ctr cams.
The powerband was very smooth and linear! Torque was pretty flat
Let me know if you want this program. I can chip one for you or sell you my existing setup.

Is a JDM p30 ecu not going to be good for my ls/vtec setup? I just spent $235 on one and should be at my door any day. How will this ecu compare to using a obd1 p72 ecu? thanks, please let me know someone.

Correct me if I'm wrong on the ecu codes....
The p30 is a B16 ecu used in the Del Sol right ? The p72, however, is for a GSR, due to the difference in intake manifolds, you can/should only use the ecu that corresponds to the head you are using.
A p72 for a gsr head and a p30 for a B16/B17 head or a GSR head with an ITR/B16 or aftermarket single runner intake manifold.
