I would think it would be a heck of a coincidence that all 4 cylinders have the same amount of leakage. Just for arguement sake, let say I have a bent/chipped/warped etc. valve, that would be a mechanical failure which would show the symptoms constantly, which its not. It only acts this way when warmed up, when a car is at operating temp. It goes into closed loop which is when the sensors etc come into play. this is why I am almost positive its is a sensor/ ecu problem.

With that said, I have some new discoveries to share. I went to the junkyard yesterday and surprisingly found a complete, stock, VX hatch. What I noticed was the MAP sensor shares the same part number as the one in mine, are the MAP sensors more or less universal or could that be a potential problem?

Also, I opened up the ECU jus to find out anything about the chip....its a SST 27SF512. I did a little research on it and found that it is a reprogramable chip. What would I need to just put a stock h22 basemap on it?

you would need a program (chrome or the like) and a chip burner to burn the new tune onto it. also the map sensor if it has the same part number should work just fine. but i doubt its the map. my h22 idles about 550 rpm. you can unscrew the screw on the top of the throttle body to raise the idle. also check your timing advance with the little two pin plug by the ecu jumpered.

no problem. you should be able to just ****** one out of a junk yard dizzy to try it out. not exactly sure but i think most of them are the same thing. besides the f23a, i know its different.

Well, my buddy had an extra dizzy laying around so I swapped out the coil n boom, runs beautiful!!! 4.8t I can't thank you enough! This has been pissing me off for a while now. It still has a low idle but now that there are no other issues I feel comfortable to adjust the idle. I appreciate all the help and insight, thanks to all!

I am still dumbfounded as to why I have no O2 sensor and no CEL, maybe the chip doesn't require one? But u need a wideband to tune it so I dont get it......

No problem. Glad it worked out.

The ecu may be set to open loop. After its tune it's stuck that way with no afr corrections. Y the ecu.

And if its set in open loop, that's not a good thing is it?

no i would have it tuned to use the o2 sensor. you need fuel adjustments for weather. unless your like me and you monitor it yourself and make your own adjustment. my tahoe does not use o2's but i have a wideband display i monitor all the time.
