just measure it up with a tape measure and leave a bit of slack... the auto tensioner will take care of any extra

alright, when I measure the belt how am I going to know which belt im going to need, its not like they have measurements on the belts so that I can just say i need such and such length belt. I need to know if someone has already put a belt for so I dont have to have a bunch of test trials to see what belt fits

well that would be a good idea, but I ripped out my ac so I would have to put it back in and get custom lines for the ac also.

they dont make a belt in that "X" length and 7 rib...either its too long or too short..... people just get special made belts... i guess thats the only way!

<====== gunna go jump off a roof now!

that would be nice if I could go in a parts store and say oh yes i need this length. You have to look up the belt to find the length, not the other way around. Why do you work at a parts store where you can type in any length and they will give you the belt?? Are you trying to start a new sport here, newto the X Games roof jumping what an idiot

well the part nuber for a belt starts with the number of ribs. second part of the part # is the length and then some other numbers.... well you can try the accord 04 non ac belt it might work becase i found out that the p/s pully on a usdm rsx is bigger than a jdm dc5R...good luck

No its alright. I tried to find a belt online but when I typed in the number I thought worked didnt show any belt. The only way other then trying to type the belt number in is looking up belts one by one to try to find the right one.

you do realize you could use a 6 rib belt right? when i had a h22 in my civic, with a/c i had to use a 4rib belt to fit my compressor, the h22 had 6rib belts on the crank and alt. it wasnt a problem.

and yes belts are numbered by size. i should know ive been a parts man since i was 17 and make a living at it still. oh yeah im 25.

say a 7 rib 54 inch belt is what you need. the part number if you came to my work would be L4070540. if you find a competent parts man it shouldnt be a problem.

i regularly buy belts based on length and number of ribs, if your parts store cannot do that they are not competent.

buddy you have to be joking with me... like i said twice now, if your parts store cannot help you find the right belt, then go to a store that can

ive worked in parts retail before, stop being so ignorant and just ******* do it instead of sitting around twiddling your **** while your motor isnt getting done

Ya thats a good one by the way, im just sitting here waiting for a belt, your exactly right. Your an idiot why do you keep posting with useless info that does nothing but make yourself look like a dumbass. Wow you wonder sometimes how you can accomplish anything on here. Thanks guys appreciate the help as always

Actually, I think you're missing the point. I agree with the two guys that say go to or call a local auto parts store.

Get several sizes surrounding the size you think you'll need and try tensioning each of them until you find the one that fits best.

i swear does your IQ go down with every thread you post? I bought the belt after I made this thread. Why would I buy the belt I need and then make a thread saying that I need the same belt I already bought. Use some common sense.
