Downsides of an H22.
i only get 250 per tank. soon to come. injector resetor box, and B&M FPR w/ gauge. that should help feul econmy
I've never hit my header or oilpan. I'm not sure how much my drop is since they're coilovers, but since my suspensions so stiff that I don't have a problem with hitting bottom. Plus roads down here are pretty nice as well so I guess that helps out.
i got another ? how hard is it to keep power steering and ac when you swap the h22 in. i would want both because its gonna be a daily driven car until i can get another one. thanks
I believe their is someone here on HT that makes a bracket to keep power steering.
I'm thinking about this swap myself but I've been told h22s burn oil and aren't good for turbo set up, this true?

Better change that avatar to bottomed out H22A inside if you plan on using 2.3" drop springs!!!
I would take the suspension just as seriously as you will the swap.

I dunno if some of you read the eg+civic forum, but this is a link to my experience. I believe that mere intimidation scares people away from this swap........well you read.

The biggest downside is the fact that there is no kit available for swaps into 1988-1991 cars. If this is what you are swapping into, you MUST cut and weld.
plus efs have the worst weight distribution
and an h22 can hold psi just like any other motor
7 with a crap fmu, and over that with hondata and what not
its all a myth (this motor cant hold boost blah blah)
i see d-series holding 10-12 psi with good fuel management
