I heard you can use a ls distributor on a vtec head but chopping of one of the mounting points. Is it possible to do this?

 

You need to do more than just chopping off one arm or your timing is going to be way retarded. You can make it work, but it's not recommend as it's only held on by 1, maybe 2 bolts if you can get it fit (need to grind/cut the opennings on the arms wider)
