i have a first gen b16a thats going to go in my '00 ek. i know that i have to convert convert everything to obd1. i'm looking for a gsr or ls distributor, does it matter what year ditributor i get? any info on this swap would help, thanks in advance

 

if you have a 00 EK you need an OBD 2 distributor not an OBD 1. So any distributor out from any DOHC vtec motor yr 96-01 will work. You can use a LS distributor also but a minor mod must be perform.

 

how can i tell a difference from the two distributors obd1 and 2

 

im not sure but i think OBD2 dist. has 1 plug and OBD1 dist. has 2. (correct me if i'm wrong) but in any case get a gs-r one so you don't have to modify the ls one by chopping off a leg.
