Default Distributor Questions...

Ok, here's my setup stock 94 OBD-1 LS distributor... Now here's my question. What internal differences are there on a LS vs. a VTEC distributor. Obviouslly cosmetically the mounting poinst and different but what is the difference in the coil and the ignitor??? Also, if I had an OBD-0 or OBD-2 distributor how could I make them work with my car? Is it as simple as just repinning my plug to make it match my wiring harness? Also on an OBD-0 distributor there is some kind of sensor that hangs out the side of it what does that do, it kind of looks like a magnetic pickup of some sort but what does it pickup? Anyway if anyone can tell me the answere to these questions please do. thanks.

Sean C.

P.S. if anyone has an OBD-1 LS Dist. for sale PM or call me asap I need one like yesterday... Thanks.

Later,

Sean C.

Dude, I just called Autozone, it was 227 plus a 97 core-charge and they said it would take 1 to 2 business days to get it... Hmm well does anybody know the answers to the above questions... I have a VTEC dist. and I can rebuild mine with that if it will work.

Thanks.
