difference between b18a and b?
there are differences, but most of the time its irrelevant to what it takes to install them. are there certain parts you're wondering about?
Yes there are quite a few differences:
1990-91 B18A1 uses OBD0 electronics, smaller ports on the intake manifold/head, etc.
1992-93 B18A1 is the same motor as the 90-91 except with OBD1 electronics.
1994-95 B18B1 is OBD1, newer designed head with better flowing manifold, bigger ports, etc.
1996-99 B18B1 is the same as the 94-95 except a few added sensors for OBD2 emissions.
2000-01 B18B1 is the same as the 96-99 except OBD2B

there are some other minor differences between the 90-91 and 92-93 motors. nothing huge.... but they are there
-couple sensor's are different
-trannies are different (not sure if he's including tranny... but since you included electronics...)
-manifolds are different
