Default Difference in B18 blocks?

Ok, I'm planning on doing a rebuild to my GSR motor over this winter and into next summer. But, this is my daily driver. I can pick up a B18 LS block here locally for about $100 or so from a buddy. My plans are to punch it out to a 2.0 and throw some Darton sleeves in it, 12.5:1 pistons, blah blah blah. With redoing the block like this, does it make any difference if it's an LS or GSR block? I just want to have as little down time as possible on my daily driver. Any info is appreciated

keep your GSR block an dpunch that out to 2.0 with sleeving.

the GSR bottom end is stronger and incorporates the factory 3 bearing bottom end girdle and other upgraded parts as is, plus the crank is sweet.

Otherwise you can get a 5 main or 3 main aftermarket girdle for your LS block but it would be best to linehone the crank bearing bores after install to make sure none of the bearings are misaligned from the new girdle... .and thats even more money into the project.

2 liter GSR is
